Terms & Conditions

My goal is to make this experience as seamless and enjoyable as possible for you, and that includes being clear, fair, and transparent about the terms we’ll both be working with. I believe in mutual respect, and while I always strive to be flexible and accommodating to your needs, I also kindly ask that you respect my time and the terms outlined here.

Lifestyle Clients

(This includes maternity, family, newborn, couple, and similar sessions)

Booking & Cancellation Policy

A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your lifestyle session.

This secures your chosen date and time.

Clients may reschedule once at no extra charge, provided at least 24 hours' notice is given.

Validity of Bookings

Once booked and confirmed with a deposit, your session must be used within 12 months.

Example: A session booked in May 2025 must be rescheduled and completed by May 2026.

You may not push a session out by several years.

Special circumstances (e.g. medical emergencies) will be considered on a case-by-case basis and may allow for an extension at my discretion.

Image Rights

I retain full copyright of all images.

I reserve the right to use photos for portfolio, website, and promotional purposes, unless you specifically request otherwise in writing.

Refund Policy

All deposits are non-refundable.

Payments made for completed sessions are also non-refundable.

Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time to make the most of your session.

For beach or outdoor shoots, lighting is key and sessions are scheduled accordingly.

If you arrive 10–20 minutes late, this may impact the number of images delivered.

If you are 25 minutes or more late, your session will be cancelled and you will need to rebook with a late arrival fee of R250 to cover my lost time waiting for your arrival and my travel costs.

RAW & Unedited Images

I do not provide RAW or unedited images.

As part of my commitment to high quality, I carefully select and edit the best photos from your session.

The number of final edited images will be agreed upon before the shoot.

WEATHER RESTRICTIONS

If the weather forecast predicts rain or very strong winds on the day of your photoshoot, the session will be canceled and moved to another date. This policy applies to all shoots, no exceptions, as the safety of both the equipment and the experience is my top priority.

However, for couples who are open to the adventure of a rainy or windy shoot (No thundershowers or storm prediction), I’m happy to proceed with the session, as these conditions can create some truly stunning photos. Please note that if you choose to go ahead with a shoot in adverse weather, my assistant will need to accompany us to hold an umbrella and ensure the safety of my equipment.

For all other types of sessions, including maternity and family shoots, if the weather forecast is showing rain or very strong winds, we will need to reschedule.

Re-editing Requests

Your requests to re-edit the entire gallery (e.g. change from bright style to moody) will be charged at R500 per hour.

I will let you know the estimated time and cost before starting.

Please make sure you're familiar with my editing style before booking, as it reflects my artistic vision and professional standards.

Travel Costs

Travel to Umdloti, Umhlanga, La Lucia, and Durban North is included at no extra cost.

Travel to other locations will be charged at R5 per km from Umdloti.

This covers fuel, vehicle wear and tear, and travel time.

Editing Timeframe

All sessions are edited in the order they are photographed—this ensures fairness to all my clients.

Turnaround time for lifestyle sessions: estimated around 2 weeks from the shoot date.

Please note that editing is time-intensive and cannot be rushed.

Gallery Access & Download Policy

Your online gallery will remain accessible for 6 months from the delivery date.

Please download your images and back them up to at least one other device for safekeeping.

If you require your gallery to be re-uploaded or resent after 6 months, a R250 archival retrieval fee will apply.

Please note that galleries are stored for up to one year from the delivery date.

Wedding & Event Clients

Booking & Cancellation Policy

• A non-refundable deposit is required to confirm your wedding date.

• This secures your date and time on my calendar and ensures my commitment to your special day.

• Cancellations will result in forfeiture of your deposit.

Image Rights

• I retain the copyright to all images and reserve the right to use them for promotional purposes unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Refund Policy

All deposits are non-refundable.

If I’m unable to attend your wedding or event due to an extreme emergency, I will:

• Make every effort to find a suitable replacement photographer, or

  Issue a full refund of all payments made.

Coverage & Quantity of Images

The number of images delivered is based on how smoothly the wedding/event runs.

Delays outside my control (e.g. late arrival of your makeup artists or your transportation issues) may impact the final image count.

I will always do my best to work efficiently with the time available.

Coverage Time

Your coverage starts at the agreed time and runs consecutively.

Example: If you book a 6-hour package starting at 10:00 AM, the coverage ends at 4:00 PM.

Time cannot be paused or split.

RAW Images Policy

I do not provide RAW or unedited images.

The final number of professionally edited images will be agreed upon before the wedding day.

Re-editing Policy

Requests for full re-edits (e.g. changing editing style) will incur a R500 per hour fee.

I will inform you of the estimated time and cost before proceeding.

Please ensure you are familiar with and love my editing style before booking.

Evening Travel & Accommodation

For weddings extending beyond 7:00 PM, accommodation must be provided for 2 people. (Myself & my assistant)

You may arrange this (within 5 km of the venue), or I can find accommodation within a R1000 total budget.

Travel Costs

Travel to Umdloti, Umhlanga, La Lucia, and Durban North is included.

Beyond these areas, travel is charged at R5 per km from Umdloti.

Breaks & Meals

For weddings & events over 6 hours, please provide a meal for myself and my second shooter at the same time as your guests.

Grace Period & Overtime

A 15-minute grace period is included for delays.

After that, overtime is charged at R1,100 per 30 minutes.

I’ll always check in with you before going into overtime.

Editing Timeframe

Turnaround time: 4–6 weeks from your wedding date.

All galleries are edited in the order sessions are shot—no rush requests, please.

Gallery Access & Download Policy

Your gallery will remain online for 6 months.

Please download and back up your images to a second device for safekeeping.

After 6 months, there will be a R250 re-upload fee if you need your gallery sent again.

Please note that galleries are stored for up to one year from the delivery date.
